Student Wellness Policy Committee Information
The Wellness Policy Committee is seeking members from the AESD community and would like to invite anyone who is interested in joining us. The committee meets four times per year.
The committee is made up of child nutrition professionals, teachers, district and site administrators, school nurses, parents, wellness advocates, and community members.
The group works together to develop and revise the district wellness policy and regulation, to plan for the implementation and evaluation of the policy, and to report on the annual progress on the policy to AESD community members.
Anticipated Time Commitment
In order to facilitate the most consistent and productive committee possible, members are asked to attend a minimum of two meetings per year. Each meeting will run approximately 60 minutes. In addition, there is the possibility for subcommittee work between scheduled WPC meetings.
