Lion Cubs Tutoring Program
Alhambra Elementary School District is proud of the partnership it has established with STAND For Children, Alhambra High School, and St. Mary’s Food Bank in providing tutoring opportunities to all students in grades Pre-K to 8th on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Alhambra High School cafeteria.
Alhambra High School tutors from its National Honor Society and AVID programs meet in the cafeteria twice a week to support elementary students with after-school tutoring. The tutors are excited to serve our community and eager to support our students in all subject areas, with a strong focus on mathematics and English language arts. Tutoring for the 2017-2018 school year begins on Monday, September 18, 2017 and continues through April, 2018.
Students, accompanied by their parents, are invited to come to Alhambra High School to receive this free after-school academic support. Parents MUST bring their children to the cafeteria to receive tutoring. Students will receive meals provided by St. Mary's Food Bank.
