Taking Attendance

TEACHERS
- Teachers will take daily attendance at 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
- Absences will be reported in Synergy in the same manner as in-person
- Examples of how students are considered “present” are listed below
- Teachers will continue to take attendance on Wednesdays in the same manner when in-person (2-1-2) learning resumes
- ClassLink analytics provide daily/real-time student online activity for teachers
PARENTS
- Parents will continue to call in absences (before 10:00 a.m.)
- Families will receive attendance calls at 10:30 a.m.

OFFICE TEAMS
- Office staff will record excused call-in absences in Synergy each day
- Office staff will take attendance each morning for substitutes by using the ClassLink activity report
- Students who are reported absent in the morning but who were later “present” (see below) that day will have their attendance updated by office staff on the next day.
