Dear Madrid Neighborhood School Families,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!
Much planning, excitement, and hard work have gone into preparing for a successful school year. My name is Stacy O’Rourke and I am the principal serving the students, community, and staff at Madrid Neighborhood School. I am looking forward to meeting new faces, revisiting familiar ones, and becoming an integral part of the education of more than 600 students. Ms. Jessica Jensen will serve as our Outreach Coordinator, and together, we are honored to work alongside you to make this a fabulous experience for our students and families!
Building enduring relationships with our students and their families is key to the success of our school. I assure you our team will work hard to build strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. We believe that every student attending Madrid is a leader and it is our goal to embrace those leadership talents to create a school of excellence!
Madrid Neighborhood School works to provide the best educational program for our students. Parental input is a valuable tool in maintaining a successful school. One way to give that input is by attending our School Community Council meetings. All parents and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend these monthly meetings. Attending the meetings is a great way to build on the partnership between the school and the community, and it provides the opportunity to share ideas and information to continually improve our school. Please join us at our first meeting on Wednesday, August 16th, at 8:00 a.m. in the library.
Again, I am truly honored to serve as your child’s principal, and I look forward to partnering with you to ensure his/her academic success. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns. Working together, we will pave the road to college and prepare students to be world-class citizens who are ready to master the challenges of the 21st Century! On behalf of our entire staff, welcome to the Madrid family!
Stacy O'Rourke, Principal
