Dear James W. Rice Community,

It is with great excitement and anticipation that I welcome you to the new school year at James W. Rice.  Whether you are a returning family or new to our community, We are thrilled to have you as part of our vibrant and dynamic school family.

At James W. Rice (JWR), we are unwavering in our commitment to providing a nurturing and challenging educational environment where every student can thrive.  Our talented and passionate staff is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. We firmly believe that each student has unique strengths and potential, and our mission is to support their academic, social, and emotional growth.  We are a Leader in Me school and we firmly believe every child is a leader and has genius.  We will work diligently to help each child find unique gifts and talents. 

As we embark on this new academic year, I urge you to actively participate in our school community.  Whether through volunteering, joining our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), or participating in school events, your involvement is not just important, it's crucial to the success of our students.  Together, we can create a supportive and engaging environment that enhances learning and fosters a strong sense of community.

Communication is key to a successful school year.  We utilize Parent Square for general communication and Parent Vue to see your child’s grades - which are updated weekly.  If you need help logging into either of those apps, please stop by; our front office will gladly support you.  Please contact me or any of our dedicated staff members with questions, concerns, or suggestions. We are here to work collaboratively with you to ensure the best possible experience for your child. 

We have many exciting programs and initiatives planned for this year that I am confident will inspire and motivate our students. From academic achievements to extracurricular activities, our students have numerous opportunities to explore their interests and develop their talents.
