REQUEST FOR ARGUMENTS

“FOR” OR “AGAINST” THE SPECIAL ELECTION

ALHAMBRA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 68

Alhambra Elementary School District No. 68 of Maricopa County, Arizona (the “District”), will hold a special district additional assistance budget override election (formerly known as a capital outlay budget override election) on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The District seeks authorization to exceed its district additional assistance budget by the lesser of $6,620,000 or 10% of its revenue control limit for a period of not to exceed seven (7) years. The estimated first year tax rate for the proposed district additional assistance budget override is $1.60 per one hundred dollars of net assessed valuation used for secondary property tax purposes. The Maricopa County School Superintendent will be preparing an informational pamphlet that will be mailed to households containing one or more registered electors within the District. Any persons wishing to submit an argument “for” or “against” the district additional assistance budget override question (not to exceed 200 words) may do so by mail or hand delivery of the argument to the Maricopa County School Superintendent, School Elections Office, 4041 N. Central Avenue, Suite 1100, Phoenix, AZ 85012; telephone: (602) 506-3866.

To be included in the informational pamphlet, such argument must be received in the office of the Maricopa County School Superintendent on or before 5:00 p.m., August 7, 2026. Such argument must be signed and include the name of the District, the author’s name, the name of any entity submitting an argument, address and telephone number. If the argument is submitted by an organization, it shall contain the sworn statement of two executive officers of the organization.  If the argument is submitted by a political committee, it shall contain the sworn statement of the committee's chairperson or treasurer.  If the argument is submitted by an individual and not on behalf of an organization, a political committee or any other group, the person shall submit the argument with a sworn, notarized statement. The entity and author’s name will be printed in the informational pamphlet. The last day to register to vote in order to be eligible to vote in this election is Monday, October 5, 2026. SOLICITUD DE ARGUMENTOS

“A FAVOR” O “EN CONTRA” DE LA ELECCIÓN ESPECIAL

DISTRITO ESCOLAR PRIMARIO NÚM. 68 DE ALHAMBRA

El Distrito Escolar Primario Núm. 68 de Alhambra del Condado de Maricopa, Arizona (el “Distrito”), llevará a cabo una elección especial de aumento al presupuesto de asistencia adicional del distrito (anteriormente conocida como elección de aumento del presupuesto del capital para gastos) el martes 3 de noviembre de 2026. El Distrito solicita autorización para sobrepasar su presupuesto de asistencia adicional del distrito por lo que sea menor entre $6,620,000 o el 10% de su límite de control de ingresos por un período que no exceda siete (7) años. Se calcula que la tasa de impuestos para el primer año del propuesto aumento al presupuesto de asistencia adicional del distrito es de $1.60 por cien dólares de valoración neta tasada utilizada para fines de impuestos secundarios sobre la propiedad. La Superintendente Escolar del Condado de Maricopa preparará un folleto informativo que se enviará por correo a los hogares que tengan uno o más electores inscritos dentro del Distrito.

Cualquier persona que desee presentar un argumento “a favor” o “en contra” de la pregunta sobre el aumento al presupuesto de asistencia adicional del distrito (que no supere 200 palabras) puede hacerlo por correo o entregar el argumento en persona a: Maricopa County School Superintendent, School Elections Office, 4041 N. Para que se incluya en el folleto informativo, dicho argumento se debe recibir en la oficina de la Superintendente Escolar del Condado de Maricopa a o antes de las 5:00 p.m. del 7 de agosto de 2026. Dicho argumento debe estar firmado e incluir el nombre del Distrito, el nombre del autor, el nombre de cualquier entidad que presenta el argumento, la dirección y el número de teléfono. Si el argumento es presentado por una organización, debe incluir la declaración jurada de dos funcionarios ejecutivos de la organización. Si el argumento es presentado por un comité político, debe incluir la declaración jurada del presidente o tesorero del comité.  Si el argumento es presentado por un individuo y no en nombre de una organización, comité político o cualquier otro grupo, la persona debe presentar el argumento con una declaración jurada notariada. La entidad y el nombre del autor se imprimirán en el folleto informativo.
