Athletics

Across our campuses we offer many different athletic opportunities both competitive and non-competitive for all of our students.

Competitive Opportunities:  Students will be able to attend tryouts, and if selected for the team, will travel and compete among the Alhambra Elementary School District League.

Non-Competitive “no-cut” Opportunities:  Students will not be asked to “tryout” for a team, nor will they be “cut” for lack of ability. They are, however, asked to do their best, take pride in their efforts and learn how to be a responsible member of a team. In this way students begin to learn the fundamental skills needed to prepare themselves for increasingly higher levels of play.

Stop by your schools' office to receive more information about how to get students involved in athletics at their school!

Cross Country Season

This year our races moved to December and January and have come to an end, but were a huge success! We had over 200 4th - 8th grade runners this season, which is 70 more runners than we had last year. Take a look at our 2025-26 winners...

Thank you!

We want to thank the team at Adelante Healthcare for helping to support our Winter sports season! They supported families with providing sports physicals to any of our student athletes who have not received one yet this year. These sports physicals went through insurance when applicable, or were donated without insurance, so there was no cost to the families.

Vandana Young, PA-C from Pinnacle Family Medicine also helped with providing sports physicals this Winter. These sports physicals were all donated so there was no cost to the families.

Between the two organizations 206 AESD student athletes received sports physicals to date, and are able to participate safely during their sports seasons!

Thank you for all your help keeping our kids healthy and safe this school year.

The HEADS UP initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion.  HEADS UP to Youth Sports also offers a free, online course available to coaches, parents, sports officials, athletic trainers, and others helping to keep athletes safe from concussion.
