Families with future kindergarten students are invited to attend Passport to Kindergarten, a special enrollment event designed to help parents and guardians feel confident, informed, and supported as their child prepares to begin school.
The event will take place on Wednesday, February 4, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Sevilla East Elementary School (3801 W. Missouri Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85019), and is open to families across the community.
Passport to Kindergarten offers a one-stop opportunity for families to learn about enrollment, academic programs, and the wide range of resources available to support students from their very first day of school. Families will have the chance to meet school staff, ask questions, and receive hands-on assistance with the enrollment process.
Strong Schools, Strong Start
Local families continue to choose our public schools because of their proven results. Schools in our district consistently outperform nearby charter schools, offering strong academics, experienced educators, and stable learning environments where students are known, supported, and challenged to succeed. From the start, students benefit from high-quality instruction and services designed to support the whole child.
Head Start Intake Available
In addition to kindergarten enrollment support, Head Start intake will be available on-site for families who may qualify. This provides an added opportunity for parents of younger children to connect with early learning programs and begin the process of accessing services that support school readiness.
A Community-Focused Experience
Passport to Kindergarten is more than an enrollment event; it’s an introduction to a school community that values family partnership, student success, and long-term growth. Staff will be available to share information about academic expectations, family resources, and what families can expect as their child begins this exciting new chapter.
