These individuals remind us that excellence is not a single act; it is a consistent way of showing up for our students, families, colleagues, and community. Their dedication strengthens our schools and inspires those around them.
Below are the honorees celebrated for quarter two:
Carol G. Peck School — Veronica Zuniga
Core Value: Strong Work Ethic
School Nurse Veronica Zuniga exemplifies what it means to serve with heart and dedication. She works efficiently to meet student needs while ensuring instructional time is protected. Veronica supports teachers with guidance that keeps the school day running smoothly and co-leads the CGP Spirit Squad to uplift staff morale. Known for her reliability, care, and strong relationships with colleagues, Veronica is a cornerstone of the school community.
Choice Learning Academy — Michael Repp
Core Value: Striving for Excellence
At Choice Learning Academy, Mr. Michael Repp sets a powerful example of striving for excellence. He builds meaningful relationships with students in and out of the classroom, from offering support during lunch to joining students on the basketball or soccer court. Michael also encourages staff through affirmations and small acts of kindness that contribute to a positive campus culture.
Cordova Elementary School — Maria Landreneau

Ms. Maria Landreneau, a resource teacher at Cordova Elementary, goes above and beyond to support students and staff each day. She anticipates needs, steps in without hesitation, and ensures every child feels valued and cared for. Maria collaborates closely with teachers, offering guidance and resources that help the entire school community thrive. Her compassion and professionalism reflect the very best of Cordova’s “Caring Cobra” spirit.
Sevilla East — Francisca Bermudez

Ms. Francisca Bermudez plays a vital role at Sevilla East by supporting students in meeting behavioral expectations and fostering a positive campus culture. This year, she has also taken on the development of student leadership opportunities, creating spaces where students feel supported, included, and empowered. Her commitment to doing what is right ensures every child feels they belong.
