Principal's Message

Welcome Eagles!

My name is Andrew Feight, and I have the privilege of serving as Principal of Alhambra Traditional School (ATS). This year marks my fifth year leading ATS, my eleventh year as a school administrator, and my seventeenth year in education. Fifteen of those years have been right here in the Alhambra Elementary School District, a community I am proud to call home. Before I stepped into administration, I taught middle school science and STEM, and that time in the classroom still shapes how I think about instruction and what our students are capable of.

I am looking forward to another incredible year at ATS. My focus, as it is every year, is on ensuring that every student who walks through our doors receives one of the finest elementary educations in Arizona. Families choose ATS deliberately, and I do not take that trust lightly. These are students we are lucky to welcome to our school every day.

A few things about me outside of school: I am a Phoenix native, so this community is home in every sense of the word. My wife is an art teacher with 19 years in the classroom, so education is very much a family affair in our house. We have three elementary-aged kids, a 10-year-old daughter and two sons, ages 9 and 6, which means many of my weekends are spent at a sports field somewhere in the Valley cheering them on. I never outgrew my love of science, and I still enjoy getting into a classroom when our students are doing hands-on work.

Thank you to every ATS family for the trust you place in our school and in our team each and every day.

Warm regards,

Andrew Feight
