Welcome to Alhambra Preschool Programs!

Hello! I'm Rosa Linda Durón, proud Director of the Alhambra Preschool Academy.

I am excited to begin another school year with our amazing preschool community! Our theme, Adventure Awaits, reminds us that every new year is a journey filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and make a lasting impact. I am especially looking forward to seeing our students thrive, supporting our incredible staff, and strengthening relationships with our families and colleagues.

My journey in education began as a Special Education teacher, inspired by my sister, who has cerebral palsy. Advocating for her taught me the importance of ensuring every child has access to a high-quality education and the opportunity to succeed. After teaching for 10 years and coaching Special Education teachers, I transitioned into administration in 2016, serving as a Preschool Assistant Director, a K–8 Assistant Principal, and now proudly leading the Alhambra Preschool Academy since 2023.

Outside of work, my greatest joy is being a mom to my son, Santiago. He loves martial arts and wrestling, and over the years I've learned not only to cheer him on but also to remember to breathe during his matches! I believe the greatest investment we can make is in people, so I cherish spending time with family and friends, dancing, traveling, and learning about different cultures. Born in Mexico, I am deeply grateful for the opportunities my family and I have found through the American dream. Those experiences have strengthened my appreciation for the diversity, resilience, and unique stories of the children and families we are privileged to serve.
