AESD: COVID-19 Update

September 20, 2021

Dear Alhambra Parents,

As the pandemic goes on, we too must continue improving and adapting our practices and protocols to keep everyone safe. I know these are hard times for everyone, but I am humbled by and grateful for all the hard work and dedication happening throughout our district every day. I know you too have had to adjust and make sacrifices as we work to keep everyone safe and healthy. Recently, our COVID-19 mitigation team recommended a few refinements to our current protocols. These changes will ensure that our district continues to operate as effectively and efficiently as possible without jeopardizing the health of our community.

The changes went into effect today and are explained in our Healthy Teaching and Learning (HTL) Protocols which can be found online at

  • Bus Rides and Riders - Page 9
  • Student “No Contact Letter” - Page 15
  • Symptom Screening Process - Page 7
  • Students Quarantines - Page 23
  • Cleared to Return Health Office Pass - Page 23

These changes continue to take into account the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Maricopa County Department of Public Health.

As we move forward, please rest assured that our district will continue to follow the science and the recommendations of public health officials. That includes continuing our face-covering policy until further notice. Thank you for doing your part to keep everyone safe during these hard times.
