Homework is assigned to reinforce and enrich cognitive skills and to help students develop self-discipline and accountability.  Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday of each week, except before a holiday for all students in grades K-8.  Nightly study time requirements are as follows:

       Grades K-3:  Up to 30 minutes

       Grades 4-6:  30 to 60 minutes

       Grades 7-8:  45 to 90 minutes

Grading

Letter grades are used to indicate scholastic achievement at all grade levels.  As part of our commitment to maintain academic excellence and high expectations for all students, ATS uses the following grading scale:

              A       =       94 - 100 %

              B       =       86 - 93 %

              C       =       77 - 85 %

              D       =       69 - 76 %

              F       =        68 % and below
